Remanufacturing is series of stages with the used products and parts as blank, including disassembly, detection, cleaning, repair, processing and so on, which is a system engineering with the purpose of recovery and upgrade of function and performance with low cost, high efficiency and high reuse rate. Mass-customization for remanufacturing is urgently needed by both the fierce competition of the market and diversification and individualization of the users'requirements, in order to realize customization diversification, cost minimization, processes optimization and response refinement. Mass-customization process model and an optimization decision method for waste electromechanical products remanufacturing are studied.First of all, the development and research status of waste electromechanical products remanufacturing are studied. Based on the theory of mass-customization, the bi-directional characteristics of mass customization for remanufacturing are analyzed and summarized, which includes the maximization of the remanufacturing rate and the customers'demands of diversification and individuation. And further, a mass-customization process model for remanufacturing is established. By considering the processes of both remanufacturing and manufacturing together, a 3D-customization optimization strategy of mass customization process for remanufacturing is proposed, which includes the product dimension, process dimension and reuse dimension.Secondly, based on analyzing mass-customization process for waste electromechanical products remanufacturing, according to the uncertainty and fuzziness relationship between remanufacturing control parameters and decision objectives, a optimization decision method with corresponding mathematical model is proposed, which is based on fuzzy linear regression for multi-objective of remanufacturing process. In the first stage of decision process, comprehensive evaluation of satisfaction degree is taken to evaluate the different remanufacturing schemes by experts. In the second stage, based on scheme parameters and evaluation date, a fuzzy linear regression model for remanufacturing process is built, and further more optimum scheme is obtained by optimizing the control parameters.At last, the paper research results are applied to the waste lathes remanufacturing at Chongqing Machine Tool (Group) Co, LTD. Based on analysis of the present general process of the waste lathes remanufacturing, the mass-customization process of manufacturing/remanufacturing mixed-mode is proposed, which makes the remanufacturing process planning satisfy the decision-making objectives with the maximum extent. By the preliminary practice, the application effect is relatively good.
