With the continuous development of China's socialist market economy, the architecture industry is encounted with fierce competition in the market, and how each region improves the competitiveness of architecture industry so as to maintain its competitive edge at the regional competition is a key issue of promoting province's national economic development. In response to these practical problems, this study constructed a evaluation system of regional architecture industrial competitiveness on the basis of the research's results concerned of the industrial competitiveness At the same time ,this study calculated the scores of architecture industries of various regions from 2003 to 2007 by using principal component analysis according to the "China Statistical Year book" as well as "China Statistical Year book of the architecture industry", besides, it also objectively evaluated the competitiveness of the architecture industry of various areas and studied the competitiveness structure model of provincial architecture industry with fixed-effect statistical model. The main content of this thesis is as the following:(1) In the paper the competitiveness of the architecture industry was defined as comprehensive industrial strength, which was showed in regional competition of our country's regional architecture industries, there is no doubt that we must make contrast between the domestic and abroad concepts of industrial competitiveness and draw the conclution of the related theories, cinsidering the relevant theoritical results and combining with the actual characteristics of the architecture industry, needless to say,the comprehensive industrial strength is the ability to gain a competitive edge in the market in order to provide effective products and good services, and create added value and increase capacity of national wealth and sustainable development in the future.(2) In accordance with the relevant theories of industrial competitiveness, the paper selected 7 first rank indexes and 24 second indexes and constructed a general evaluation model of regional architecture industry competitiveness with the principle evaluation of industrial competitiveness. The first rank index system contained market competitiveness,cost-effectivecompetitive,scalecompetitiveness,techn-ologicalcompetitiveness,structuralcompetitiveness,growthcompe-titiveness and environment competitiveness.(3) The paper calculated 2003-2007 architecture industry competitiveness in each area and makes the related sequence through the evaluation index system and principal component analysis method. On this basis, we gained 2003-2007 panel datas of elements of in various regions, analysed the changes of architecture industry competitiveness .In addition,we found that there is an obvious difference in the gradient between the construction industries of various provinces and cities. this gap is an all round, but also to expand. It is necessary to find which competitive elements have obvious contribution on construction industries in order to curb the kind of expansion. The paper studied the construction industries competitiveness model with fixed-effect statistical model and find that the regional effection of construction industries is very obvious, what is more important is that scale competitivness, construction competitivness, growth competitivness and market competitivness have great impact on regional construction industries, but when we consider the influence of technological competitivness in the districtive perspective,we don't gain statistically significant conclusions.(4) Finally, according to the empirical results, the paper gave the suggestions concerned to enhance the regional competitiveness.
