The Correlation Study Between Social Support And Job Burnout Of Tour-Guides

The tour-guides' work is the core and link of tourism reception work, which makes more prominent of the importance of tour-guides. However, the characteristic of tour-guides causes them to withstand more pressure, which makes their Job Burnout problem is more prominent day by day. So, how to alleviate tour-guides' Job Burnout appears very important. After studying massive references and the interviewing result, the author designed the Tour-guide Job Burnout Scale and the Social Support Scale and carried on the questionnaire survey to 269 guides. Then, the survey result was analyzed by the methods such as Factor Analysis, One-Way ANOVA Analysis and Correlation Analysis. Studying the correlation between the tour-guide Job Burnout and Social Support is to discuss how to improve the tour-guides' Social Support condition to alleviate the tour-guide Job Burnout. The findings are:(1)Tour-guide Job Burnout Questionnaire and Social Support Questionnaire which used all have the good reliability and validity.(2)The difference in Tour-guide Job Burnout various Latitudes and Social Support various Latitudes on the individual variables is: Job Category has no significant difference in Emotional Exhaustion; The Technical Title have no significant difference in Job Burnout three Latitudes; In addition, various variables have the significant difference in Tour-guide Job Burnout various Latitudes; Sex has no significant difference in Availability and Total Social Support; Age and Job category have no significant difference in Total Social Support; Marriage Condition has no significant difference in Subjective Support and Availability; Technical Title has no significant difference in Availability and Total Social Support; In addition, various variables have the significant difference in Social Support various Latitudes.(3) The correlation between the tour-guide Job Burnout and Social Support is: Subjective Support and Availability have remarkable significant inverse correlation with the three latitudes of Job Burnout and the total Job Burnout; Objective Support has no correlation with the three latitudes of Job Burnout and the total Job Burnout.
