| Impacted by the price of petroleum in the seventies of the 20th century, the economic growth rate dropped by a large margin, and the economists begin to realize that the energy will have a fatal impact on economy, which is the same with labor! Since China implemented the policies of reform and opening-up to the world in 1978, there has been more and more energy-consuming. Especially since 2003, the mode of economic growth put great emphasis on the input of high energy, so energy consumption increases by a large margin. The contribution of the energy to economic growth is shown in two respects: energy consumption and energy efficiency. If we want to make the energy promote the economic growth much easier, we need to study the relationship between the two aspects and the economic growth. But most literature research are carried out circulating the relationship between the factors now , and they have neglected the impact of improvement of energy on economic growth. This article has studied the relationship between them from this perspective.In this article, it is supposed that the technological progress should be shown in the improvement of energetic efficiency. In the theoretical research, energy efficiency meets the knowledge acquisition mode—Arrow's "learning-by-doing", learning the relationship between them through constructing "learning-by-doing " economic growth model restrained by energy.In the part of empirical research, vector autoregression method is applied in this article, which is different from the qualitative method or quantitative approach in the past. By building a VAR model and a cointegration test, a long run equilibrium relationship was found existing between energy growth,consumption and efficiency. I discovered the Marginal contribution to the economic growth of energy efficiency and energy consumption through the establishment of a generalized different model. I also discovered that the energy efficiency and energy consumption have a pulling effect towards economic growth through Impulse Response Function analysis, and the function of energy efficiency is lasting. By using the similar method, this article also studied the relationship between energy efficiency and its impacting factors, and found that both the R&D expenditure and tertiary industry have a positive impact, and the effect of R&D expenditures is much more lasting. The coal consumption has a negative effect. |
