Research On Independent Innovation Capability Of Chinese NC Machine Tool Industry

Machine tool industry is the basic part of the equipment manufacturing industry, numerical control (NC) machine is the core product of machine tool industry. In the rapid development of international manufacturing digital control technology and precision manufacturing technology becomes more and more important, mean while, NC machine has become the mainstream of modern manufacturing processing equipment and the competition focus of International manufacturing and defense industry. During the last 20 years' development, we have formed a certain production scale which is the foundation of further development. But now we are still unable to meet the needs of the market tools no matter in variety, quality or performance. Our senior NC machine tools mainly depend on imports, which has significantly constrained the development of our national economy and defense industry.This article briefly introduces industry innovation theory at first, then combined with the characteristics of China's NC machine tool industry, we put forward the conceptual model of innovation capability of NC machine tools industry which include five central roles: policies, innovative force, the formation of technical capability, innovation activities and innovation feedback. And the realization of innovative activities is the result of the matching of industrial technology and innovation force under the coordination of policies. Subsequently, through analyzing the status of industrial innovation force, capability and policies of China's NC machine tool industry, then put forward the countermeasures of improving independent innovation capability of Chinese NC machine tool industry.
