Analysis Of Intra-Industry Technology Spillover Effect Of FDI

China began to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) since 1970's. By the end of 2008, the amount of cumulated actual use of foreign direct investment has reached as high as 8526.29 hundred million US dollars. Foreign direct investment not only speeded up China's sustaining economic growth, but also improved the quality of growth. Accompanied by further development of economic globalization, FDI has taken more and more attention, and the technology spillover effect of FDI has become the research hotspot as well.As our national prop industry, the industrial increased value of electronic information industry continually increased at above 20% in recent years, which was much higher than the increasing speed of GDP. The good growth situation has increased the industrial attraction foreign direct investment scale and the amount further expands. However, with more than 10 years high speed development and its super growth process, electronic information industry innovation ability of our country does not fit the economic output growth synchronization. The foreign capital holds the important position in our country electronic information industry. The data from our country information industrial department's correlation demonstrated that Foreign-funded enterprise's income and the profit grow with it have differed so much as to be beyond comparison to the domestic economy contribution, and it has the aggravating tendency. Then attracting the foreign direct investment positively in line with the"trade the technology by the market"idea, can the domestic enterprise obtain benefits from it? Does the foreign direct investment have the technical spillover to our country's electronic information industry? Is the technology spillover obvious? If there is not remarkable even for negative, what is the reason? Facing this question, we can only have one clear and the correct understanding through concrete research.Based on the predecessor research results'foundation, this article has discussed the FDI technology spillover effects intrinsic mechanism and the influencing factor from the industry angle. Then, take China's electronic information industry as the example, we analyze FDI technical spillover effects from the technology advancement and the industrial structure in the way of qualitative analysis, then we use quantitative analysis to research FDI technical spillover effects in China's electronic information industry through the model building, and discuss if there is a reason that affecting FDI technology spillover in electronic information industry. Finally,according to the analysis results, we give concrete policy proposals which are target-oriented.
