With the rapid development of computer and network technology, informa-tization is undertaken in all walks of life. The state and country has invested a huge amount of money to the informatization of defense-related science and technology.More and more websites that provide information technology services are being b-uilt with the the informatization of defense-related science and technology.So,whether these websites can be found inso many websites,whether these websites are used,is worthy to research.The power of influnce of websites stands for the degree that they are being used. The more powerful the influence is, the resources that the websites provide are easier to be found and used.Webometrics is the study of the quantitative aspects of the construction and use of information resources, structures and technologies on the Web drawing on bibliometric and informetric approaches.The power of influnce of websites can be measured by means that webometrics provides.First the theory,means,tools of webometrics are researched in this article,and the po wer of influnce of websites is defined.Then the indexes tomeasure the power of in flunce of websites are researched,includes the meaning of the indexes,the usage of them, and how to get them.Then the releated definations of websites providing information technology services are discriminated, and the indexes to measue the power of defense-related science a nd technology websites are selected.After that,a model to measure the power of influence of websites that provide infor mation technology services is built via AHP.And the power of influence of a set of defense-related science and technology websites is measured.Then an analise of t he result is given.At last, some suggestions to enhance the power of influence of defense-related scie nce and technology websites are given.
