A core aspect of urban commercial study is the hierarchy of urban commercial center, which will influence the future development of urban commercial. However, the formation of hierarchy of urban commercial center is a result of the interaction of many factors, there are of a lot of factors resulting in the formation of the commercial center, such as population density, the purchasing power, consumer behavior, traffic convenience and so on. As a result, it is difficult to form a comprehensive understanding the factors of the business central formation with traditional methods. GIS with a strong expression of visualization, spatial analysis and other functions, has become an importance technological means to evaluate commercial centers. This paper analysis the formation mechanism of the hierarchy of urban commercial center, and then, using Wenzhou as an example, this study conducts an hierarchy assessment of urban commercial centers in A GIS-based approachChapter I introduced the background of paper topics and the significance of the study of commercial Center functional system and briefly introduced the purpose, the contents and research methods of this thesisChapter II comprehensively summarizes the commercial research at home and abroad, the traditional study commercial geography abroad has three major factions, the center of the theory of evolution models and empirical research; the main research contents of Domestic commercial geography may include: business center system, the geographical structure of commercial, consumer behavior and business environment studies and so on.Chapter III described GIS applications in the study of commercial. Sum up three main methods of GIS, which determines the need for GIS applications in the study of commercial; in the last, summed up the study flow of GIS-based commercial planning study and the major GIS applications in commercial planning.Chapter IV discusses the hierarchy system of the urban commercial center and its formation mechanism. First of all, introduce a general process of evolution of the hierarchy of commercial centers; analysis of the commercial center of the formation mechanism mainly from two aspects of internal and external, External dynamic mechanism include population distribution and density, consumer behavior, traffic conditions, etc.; Internal dynamic mechanisms include the accumulation of the role of commercial, urban low-cost, rent and other factors.Chapter V conducts empirical analysis on Wenzhou. First, this thesis has an Evaluation of commercial development of Wenzhou City from several aspects. This study assesses the hierarchy of urban commercial center in Wenzhou with GIS technology. Finally, describe the commercial status quo and function positioning.Chapter VI of this article summarizes the research results and the inadequacies that exist, and future research directions required to further expand in future.
