Since the moulds are the important basic equipments in the producing of home appliances, the development of mould manufacturing industries must keep up with the rapid development of home appliances industry. The old business model of the home appliances mould enterprise has seriously hindered the improvement of its core market competitiveness. Therefore how to identify the core business processes and reengineer it become urgent affairs.Only reengineering those processes, which are parts of the process and activities but can create value, competitive advantage for enterprises can be achieved remarkable results. Consequently we should choose the process which own Critical Success Factors as the preferred target for the BPR at the decision-making process.The study analyzed the business processes characteristics of the home appliances industry and identified the design processes as the core business processes based on the value chain theory and the critical success factors method. Based on the current problems existed in the design processes and the demonstration of the BPR, the study Researched the BPR project of the design processes, which included built the PLM system and used the PLM system to achieve Product Data Management, improve the design methods and build the collaborative design environment ,and analyzed the effect of the implementation of BPR project.The study logistic used the method of how to chose the target for the BPR ,the Analysis Method, the Concurrent Engineering and the PLM in the core business process reengineering of the home appliances mould corporations and find out a method to enhance the core competitiveness for the corporations.
