Sustainable land use is one of the core contents of sustainable development. The scarcity and irreplaceability of land resources makes it must be exploited continuously and efficiently. The funeral land,as a national public service utilities and an important part of the government, play an increasing important role in building a resource-conserving and environment-friendly society. Because of urbanization and population aging,a rival between the dead and living human in our country has been aroused. It is really an embarrassing situation.China with a large population must deal with this historic task very well, that is,how to control the use of limited land resources, guide the development of funeral industry, promote the transformation of funeral culture, and build ecological concept between people and nature. The funeral land in our country has not been paid enough attention for a long time.Land management workers worked on it were even less. Thus there is no corresponding system of the funeral sites was formed. Based on regional sustainable utilization of land resources, this study investigated the intensive funeral land model in Changsha,Hunan. The author compare, classify and sum up the current problems and of intensive mode of the funeral land in Changsha city. Moreover, the author also took domestic and international research for comparison and reference. Then this study suggested intensive use of the funeral land, and a way to transform it,this may provide a good example of intensive use of funeral land for future. Finally,it is concluded that the plane, and three-dimensional model is a transitional form to deal with the ashes at this stage. We must seek a new way that is suitable to the development of current stage, that is, transforming from two-dimensional model to a three-dimensional, ecological, and virtualization mode, and finally achieving "second revolution" use of the funeral land.
