With the development of human society,scientific technology is playing a more and more crucial role in every aspect of social development as a force which we can't afford to neglect.As the science fund managing association,National Science Fund Committees has played a very significant role in guiding and funding China's scientific research.The work of this paper is done under the "Research on science fund statistic analysis based on GIS method".By the requirement of NFSC,the paper constructed the data warehouse toward SFMD,mainly three parts of work have been done in this paper:1) Firstly,this paper improves the object-oriented conceptual design framework for the data warehouse.After analyzing the pros and cons of four prevailing conceptual design models,this paper improve the OO model by adding the concept of time—Chronon,to describe the status of projects after keen observation on the National Science Fund Committee's daily routine.This section lays the ground work for the next step of building a data warehouse;2) Secondly,based on the previous work,the data warehouse toward National Science Fund management data is built.After the implementation of ETL process to clean and control the data quality,dimensions and the dimension usages are created. Adding the hierarchical structure enables the OLAP process such as multi-layer representation,volume up and drill down.The design of the corresponding MDX expression afterwards increase of data warehouse computing power and rich display of the perspective of the data;3) In the end,this paper adopts ADOMD.NET to fetch the multi-dimensional data from data warehouse toward National Science Fund management data,and display them with a wide variety of novel combination charts,which is a great enrichment the data warehouse of front-end display method.This helps to analysis and interpretation science fund management data from various angles.Also a dynamic graph feature is introduced to further improve the function of the system.Finally.based on the jQuery framework,a tab-based navigation approach is implemented to improve the user experience.
