Study On The Whole Process Cost Management In Intelligent Building

The whole process cost management, which was raised by Chinese cost management academia, is still a kind of ideology in project management. As a result, cost management method and business operation were devoid. Cost management methods and business operation in every process were focused in this paper. They were as follows:(1) Theoretical paradigm of the whole cost management and the concept of consulting service and related concepts and theoretical basis were presented firstly in chapter II.(2) Cost management methods at every stage of the whole process were expatiated in chapter III.Mainly includes the followings:The methods on how to write the feasibility studies report at concept stage; the way to work out a cost estimate and how to select the contract mode for a specific IB project at preliminary design stage; the way to compile the tender documents and pre-qualification documents at the tendering stage; how to prepare cash flow tables and the way to deal with the claims at construction stage; the way to compile the final report at the acceptance after being completed stage.(3) Finally, a case which is based on a foreign QS company was analyzed to prove the point mentioned above. From the standpoint of the consulting firms, cost management methods and business operation were researched in this paper. The result of study shall provide a reference to the domestic consulting firms to draw on.
