Chinese Food Security Research From Worldwide Food Crisis

Food is a necessity for life,but also a premise for human beings engaging in social activities.There is an old saying in China:"State base on people,people base on food",clearly,we can see that can food is not only important to people's lives,but also pivotal to social stability and national independence.Food is a political issue essentially.The 2007 food crisis marked a new time's coming;it is globalization and politicization of food.The world economy re-shuffle,food is no longer a mere day-to-day food,is no longer a simple segmentation of market,with strategic weapons the U.S.dollar,oil,food has been tied up tightly with speculative funds,they become the bargaining chips between the various entities,the economic weapons between nations.As China's accession to WTO,these changes already lash our food security system.Since the establishment of PRC,China food policy is to ensure the fundamental supply and the basic consumption.To such a big country with such large population,this food security is a passive,protective and defensive policy.Lagging agricultural development,enormous food consumption has made our country's agriculture to be a "Ration agriculture",to be a "great powers rations",this is not coordinate with our big food-producing country,who just looks on the strategic interests of the world grain market.At the same time,our peasants are not the traditional rural labor force,but the merchandise who pursue fair competition fair value in today's market economy.What they satisfy is no longer adequate food and clothing,but is how to be wealthy.At present,our country's food system was under the Control of United States and other Western developed countries,under the expansion of the world grain market,under the attack of the international financial giant.Facing the iron ore producing countries,oil-producing countries,rice-producing countries implement price war with us,we have to say it is such a sympathy that as a world food producing country,its food security has always been in a passive position and don't have a corresponding place in the world food system.In front us,there are two choices:either let them occupied our country's grain market with low cost,let the complete food processing system decide the price of China's food market,let the advanced information system gradually put our country's food system eroded till all destroyed,or we dare to fight with them to ensure our security.Henry Kissinger once said:"If you control the oil,you control all the countries; if you control food,you control all the people;if you control the money,you control the entire world."
