Research On The Influence Of Changing Family Structure To Old-security Pattern In Rural Area

China has already entered into the ageing society in 2000. The rural population has been ageing faster than the urban along with the changes of the age structure and the transfer of the rural labor force. According to the data of National Bureau of Statistics of China, the number of old people living in rural areas has reached to 10,801 million which is 2.8 times as long as those living in the urban.Most of the peasants still rely on the traditional endowment security pattern, because the integrated old-age security system of the urban and the rural has not yet formed. The family , as the most basic cell of human society, has taken a very prominent part in old-age security of rural areas for a long time.But with the development of economy,modernization of thinking and living style, transfer of labor force, the enforcement of family plan and the integration of different culture,. the family structure in rural areas has changed sharply and the endowment function of family has been affected seriously. Consequently it is an urgent and prominent mission to find out the solutions to endowment problem in rural areas.Base on the close relationship between family and old-age security, this article mainly analyzes the effect of changing family structure to the current elder security pattern.The first part of this article mainly introduce the background of basic theory by using document view method and comprehensively reviews and summarizes relative research both in and out domestic according to research on family structure, old-age security pattern and the internal relations between family and endowment. And then put forward the focus and key point of this research.The second part of this article mainly adopts the empirical analytic method. This chapter analyzes the changing situation of the family structure from the aspects of family scale ,family pattern and generation relationship, firstly, and then explains the reason of those changes from social and economic factor, demographic factor, policy and other aspects and briefly introduce the tendency. The third part briefly introduce the current endowment security pattern in rural areas and difficulties in the process of their development and point out the importance of family endowment patternThe fourth part of this article is the core of the whole research. Because family endowment is the mainstream of old-age security pattern in rural countries, this chapter mainly explain the effect of the changing family structure on old-age security pattern, especially on family endowment pattern. At first, this chapter analyzes the influence caused by deceasing number of children, changes of living arrangement and the changes of authority centre between two generations. Secondly, this part explain the heavy burden of family endowment by making forecasts of future old-age dependency ration and expected life-span.The last part of this article puts forward the conclusions and policy suggestions on the basis of the above research and point out it is an effective way to set up a comprehensive old-age security pattern that can mobilize individual, family, community and government to co-operate with each other and dedicate themselves to the mutual mission.In the situation of creating harmonious society, the problem of endowment not only relates to the welfare of old people, but also be important to the steadiness of the whole country. On the basis of the close relationship between family and endowment, this article mainly dedicated to do some useful attempt to solve the endowment problems in rural areas.
