Agricultural Industrialization And The Urbanization In Rural Areas

The development of small towns, raising the level of agricultural modernization and urbanization is the key to the development of the rural economy. With the development of China's reform and opening up and the urban and rural economic, the overall level of urbanization in Northern Fujian Province is improved. However, the problem of small town construction is prominent, such as, the big number of cities and towns, small-scale, low starting point, poor planning, low level of the urban population concentration, weak urban industrial foundation, incomplete function, poor economies of scale. The low degree of urbanization is the important factors to restrict the development of rural Northern Fujian. The lack of capital investment in agricultural industrialization and urbanization and the lag of infrastructure construction have also affected the process of urbanization. Because of the weak economic and the poor industry, agriculture will be still the main industry in North Fujian in a long time. Therefore, the development of the agricultural product processing industry-oriented agriculture industrialization relied on local agricultural resources and promoting the urbanization in rural areas based on agricultural industrialization will be the inevitable choice for the development of urbanization in Northern Fujian Province.In this paper, as an example to Nanping, based on the situations and problems in the development of agricultural industrialization and the urbanization in rural areas, and the regional basic advantages of agricultural industrialization promoting the development of urbanization, the theories of agricultural industrialization and small towns construction and the interaction in economic development are used, the methods of integration in theoretical and empirical analysis, field research and data compilation are applied, the policy proposals of using the agricultural industrialization to promote the development of he urbanization in rural areas are put out.
