| As the opening of finance industry in China, the competition between banks is getting tougher and tougher. Because of the increasing numbers of banks and their similar functions, commercial banks lack the competition advantages of specialty products. Therefore, more and more banks hope with the help of rapidly evolving information technology they can promote the process and implement better services with new strategy as soon as possible. Also they want to build the customer-centric business environment and the competitive advantages. With several years effort, The China Construction Bank has already built up a strong Management Information System. It has basically accomplished the construction of the data processing centre, centralized the data processing in this center, and started to exploiting the data deeply for using the information in a more effect way.Years of experience working in the bank gives me the deep understanding on the operations and the structure of the China Construction Bank based on information system. As one of the experienced users, I have my own opinions on the current CCB Management Information System which is not perfect. I think the system optimization should be performed with higher priority. During the study and research on the theory of the Management Information System, I always focused on the solutions to improve the existing system, to develop the bank business, to extend the system functionalities, and to reform successfully with the implementation of a better strategy.In this paper, I presented the issues found in the existing Management Information System and analyzed the root causes according to theories and practice. Also I proposed a complete solution to optimize the current system after investigation on the other factors, such as CCB business processes, competition status, development strategy and goals. In this thesis I presented the optimization of Management Information System not only from technical point of view, but also from the real practices. I focused on the bank management and decision-making, paid attention to the combination of information system and bank business.The thesis provides a good and generic solution on how to improve the business processes and the bank management model which is fit for a lot of banks. |
