Rural economic construction becomes a hot spot in discuss and study recently, along with the concept of"new rural construction"proposed, and the increased support for rural economic construction. And rural infrastructure construction is one the important part of it. Strengthening the construction of rural infrastructure is essential content and key link to press rural infrastructure construction, which could increase the income of farmers, and accelerate the development of rural economy.The research applies a method with both qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. Firstly, this article analysises the mechanism of action of infrastructure construction on economic growth, which includes direct and indirect role. And indirect role includes multiplier effect (the multiplier effect includes ossociated effect, forward-induced effect, backward ripple effect), cost effect, structure effect and environmental effect. And base on it, the article analysises the direct and indirect action of rural infrastructure construction on rural economic growth. Secondly, it expounds the the actuality and problems of rural infrastructure construction in our country. Thirdly, it empirical researches the long term balanced relationship between rural infrastructure and rural economy, bases on the data from 1986-2006, through the test of co-integration, error correction model and some other econometric model methods. The result indicates that, rural infrastructure construction has a notable positive influence on rural economy, no matter long term or short term. And then, it analyses the influence of development of rural economy from four aspects, which are infrastructure of production, infrastructure of life, infrastructure of humanity, and infrastructure of communication. The result shows that rural economy has positive influence from infrastructure of production, infrastructure of life, and infrastructure of communication, but negative influence from infrastructure of humanity, because of its backward. Lastly, this article puts forward relevant proposals based on the empirical research and the actuality of rural infrastructure construction.
