| In the financial sphere, as growing to one of the three pillars in banking business, the intermediate businesses of commercial banks have become a vital income resource. However, as far as concerned, the development of intermediate business of commercial banks in China can't meet the demand of global financial competition yet. With the expansion of the capital market in China and the acceleration of the market-oriented interest rate development, the profit gained by the intermediate businesses has been shrinking. Meanwhile, the variation of the costumers'demands and the increasing competition in the banking industry are appealing to a much more improved management in the commercial banks. Consequently, the intermediate business has become a major area for business innovation in the modern banking industry and a significant profit growth point.In this paper, the present development status of the intermediate businesses of BOC's Hunan Branch and the existing problems proposed by the comparison in the banking industry have been analyzed in detail through the methods of theoretical analysis and comparative analysis. As for those problems, we have conducted a analysis of the internal and external environment for the intermediate business development of BOC's Hunan Branch. Taking account the specific circumstances of BOC's Hunan Branch, some fundamental strategies for the intermediate business development, mainly including the innovation strategies, the internal management strategies and the marketing strategies have been proposed. With regard to the innovation strategies, enhancing the innovation in the integration between the intermediate business products and the business process is suggested. The internal management strategies primarily cover the incentive mechanism, human resources support, technical support, risk management and organizational design. The marketing strategies consist of the market choosing strategy, marketing strategy and market competition strategy. Furthermore, to fulfill these development strategies, some specific measures are put forward, which go like this: enhance the staff's sense of urgency and sense of crisis; make great efforts to achieve the sustainable development of intermediate business; improve the integrated management system; perfect the incentive restraint mechanism and the profit allocation mechanism; accelerate the focus product development of the intermediate business; adapt to the market need actively; speed up the intermediate business innovation, increase investment in science and technology, make more efforts to strengthen comprehensive marketing, develop their own advantages to make up their own deficiencies, so as to enhance overall competitiveness. |
