Along with the rapid development of the information technology and the globalization of market competition become more and more normal, the business environment that the enterprise located has had the fundamental change. Only the enterprises that pay more attention to the products innovation to meet the requirements from rapid changing market can obtain the continually competitive advantage, can survive and develop. At the same time, many enterprise face the problem of R&D, such as too long product developing period, high innovation cost, low reliability of the new product, the product developing plan behindhand the market. These cause the cooperation cannot develop the competitive new product promptly according to the market developing tendency and the rapidly change demand from customers. Then this causes the customer's complaint and losing market. How to enhance the R&D achievements through the R&D process reengineering is one of the most important questions of many enterprises.During researching of the R&D process reengineering in this article, the BPR process is followed. First the reengineering aim and the R&D problems is verified. Then through the R&D process analysis, the R&D process' problem can be found. And them we can choose the methods to solve these problems. Finally we use these methods to reengineer the R&D process, and appraise the new process. How to use the project management knowledge, and the TS16949 quality control system, and the core tool of TS16949, to reengineer the R&D process is the important part of the researching. The whole researching course is base on the practice of the FA Corporation's R&D process reengineering.In this thesis, firstly, introduce the topic's origin and background, the research significance, the researching scope and goal, point out the R&D process reengineering reason. Then introduced the basic theory used in this article, including: BPR, project management knowledge system, TS16949 quality control system and its core tool APQP and so on. And then according to the R&D's problem, after analysis the R&D process, we can find the reason why the R&D process causes these problems. And then choose the different method to sole the different problem. And then use these method, like APQP, FMEA, WBS, the Gantt chart, responsibility assignment matrix, QFD and so on, to carry on R&D process reengineering. The new process is evaluated after it is established. Finally draws the conclusion, the enterprise may reengineer the R&D process according to the BPR step. APQP and the project management technology are the useful technology and method during R&D process reengineering, especially for those spare part manufacturer that must strictly follow up the complete machine manufacturers.
