The inherent quality of product is decided by the quality of product design and development, so quality assurance should put more emphasis on the early stages of the design and development than the manufacture, testing and other late stages. In the stage of design and development, we should comprehensively grasp the quality requirements and quality objectives of the entire life cycle of product, and integrate a series of quality assurance tools and design system, to realize quality-oriented and customer demand-driven product development model, and the management and sharing of product design quality information. This paper's research object is manufacturing product design process, studies how to implement concurrent quality engineering to the stage of product design, and complete the following work in the product design method based on concurrent quality engineering:1. Construct the system of concurrent quality engineering, classificatory study the key design technologies based on concurrent quality engineering.2. Analysis the integrated feasibility of quality function deployment (QFD) and failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), and construct the integrated model of QFD and FMEA.3. Generalize the product design characteristics based on concurrent quality engineering, study the support of the integration of QFD and FMEA to PPAP, and raise the product design process based on concurrent quality engineering.4. Construct the management system framework of product design quality in the platform of product data management (PDM) system, and study information management of product design quality in three aspects: the management of design quality information, the management of design control process, and the integration of design quality tools.
