Study On Strategy Of Developing Modern Logistics Of Zhejiang Materials Industry Group Corporation

The modern logistics is the third profit source of a business enterprise. It has become one of the three sun industries which also consist of the high technology and financial industry. The logistics industry of our country just starts, so it will have huge development potential and market potential. After entering into WTO, the abroad logistics tycoons make a forced landing layout in succession, while the local business enterprises flowing out into the logistics market. Because of low integration degree of resources, backward idea, simple service species and insufficient service, etc., the local ones can't compete with the foreign logistics business enterprises. As one of the large circulation enterprises in China, Zhejiang Materials Industry Group Corporation (ZJMI) is now in the stage turning into the field of modern circulation, when to develop modern logistics, and improve core competence becomes the main content of the group reform and development. As we know, logistics will be a new source of the group profits. To help the group be a leading modern circulation enterprise, the main thing the enterprise leaders should do immediately is to develop modern logistics in a proper and scientific method.This dissertation carried on the following studies:1. The writer summarized the development of modem logistics, the main characteristics and the theories of modern logistics, and elaborated supply chain theories, electronic commerce theories, the third party logistics theories and foundations of logistics center, analyzed the existing problems of the development of modem logistics in our country, and meanwhile pointed out the importance of the logistics center construction and the establishment of the information system etc. 2. By using PEST and PORTER method, the writer analyzed macroscopic economic environment and the line environment; further more, the problems and difficulties, the challenges and opportunities of the ZJMI development in modern logistics were discussed. And then put forward the measures which should be adopted in order to develop the modern logistics of the group.After research and study, the paper concluded that: the development of modern logistics is not only one of the important supports, platforms and contents for ZJMI's turning to a large circulation enterprise but also one of the big parts of the Group's future profits; Since the development of enterprise modern logistics is effected by both the external and internal environments, these factors should be studied in the design of its own modern logistics by the ZJMI in order to find out the competitive strategy to improve the core competition of the group; the logistics model of the ZJMI should be based on the vertical integration-oriented strategy of the logistics development to be complemented by the construction of logistics bases and extroverted strategic alliances, by the way of building up logistics distribution network to form a strong distribution and logistics capabilities, and seep into the development of the large modern circulation industry, to server for the core business of the Group and become as a new growth point and new source of the Group's profits.It is hoped the conclusions of this paper could provide reference opinions for the decision of ZJMI to develop modem logistics system and also provide reference experiences for the actual work.
