This article concerns about how to and in what circumstance to set the urban outdoor dynamic advertising. The setting of urban outdoor advertising is related to society, economy, culture, system, circumstance, safety, landscape and many other factors. The negative influence of earlier outdoor dynamic advertising on the cities, such as clutter and roughness, is controlled in a certain extent through adjustment. In the rich area, the developing orientation of outdoor dynamic advertising is from quantity to quality, which is embodied in the application of new technology.With the development of new technology, more of it is applied to outdoor advertising, LED screen technology is the most promising one. It has much superiority, such as adapting well, saving energy, long life, cleanness, variety, new high-tech characteristic. Urban outdoor advertising not only has the function of business publicizing, but also is the factor of urban landscape such as the newly-formed dynamic advertising which, applied with LED screen, improves urban landscape quality.The urban outdoor dynamic advertising setting research is a new problem task in our country. The scope of business advertising is an image of a city's economy. Based on ShangHai—the most prosperous city in China, this article analysis its outdoor dynamic advertising with comparing, classification, statistics, cases, and projects, especially analysis the environment factor and setting strategies of outdoor dynamic advertising adapting. Through the analysis of outdoor dynamic advertising environment, it needs many environment factors such as places, setting roomage, audience, vision scope, architecture. The outdoor dynamic advertising should be applied with pertinence in order to meet the needs of different places. Fully controlling and emphases should be the outdoor dynamic advertising setting strategy to improve the city's level and feature. Finally we design the outdoor dynamic advertising of ChangZhou city with the design strategy we've got, which well embodies the value of the research mentioned. This provides reference for the outdoor dynamic advertising setting in both China and overseas.
