Study On The Performance Management In Amway (China) Co., Ltd.

After China joined into WTO, the integration process of China's economy and international economy are accelerated day by day, so are the homogeneity of products and service, as well as the diversified trends of customers' demand, and more and more rivals will be confronted with. Who wants to get survive and development in such a market with keen competition, they must promote the core competitiveness, have modern management ideas and skills, seek benefit from the inside management and finally improve the organization performance.Performance Management (PM) plays an important role in the system of human resources management, it combines with other sectors of human resource management system closely and promotes mutually. However, it is not a piece of cake to implement Performance Management effectively. A local survey in mainland China shows that 65% of 100 surveyed big-and-medium companies are not satisfied with their performance management system, and 45% of them are somewhat unsatisfied. Based on the PM theory, the writer analyses and describes the performance management system in Amway (China) and makes some suggestions.There are three chapters in this paper. The first chapter is the introduction, introducing the overall picture of Amway (China), its current performance management system, the existing problems and the research method of this paper. The second chapter introduces the theoretic foundations of performance management, including the definition, the procedure and the current research status around the world. The last chapter is the suggestions for improvement, setting up a Performance Development Process model, new competency model and position design model.
