The Study Of The Manufacturing Industrial Competitiveness In Fujian

Manufacturing is the cornerstone of the economic development of a modern country or region and is the basis of enhancing a country or region's competiveness, so it plays a critical role for a country or region's economic development. After 30 years' reform and opening up, manufacturing in China has witnessed a great success, and the same is to Fujian Province's manufacturing. But it is undeniable that Fujian Province, along its development, as a coastal province and as a major province in the flourishing and newly development west side of cross straits, has fallen behind with other developed provinces. Under the existing conditions, to take the existing advantages, to enhance the manufacturing's competiveness, to try hard to hold a certain place in the intersectional and international division of labor, all the above is the key to Fujian Province's rapid economic development. The trains of thought to build an advanced west side cross straits economic zone have been clearly pointed out in Fujian Province's 11^th five year plan outline, and the outline has placed industrial development into the top place for the next five years' economic development. So it is of great practical significance to evaluate and analyze objectively the present level and development potential of Fujian's manufacturing and to carry out scientific orientation for the actual situation of the local manufacturing development so as to maintain sustainable development of the manufacturing. Guided by Marx's Theory of competition, by using the researches as references made by the experts at home and abroad, this thesis makes use of the related evaluation indicator system and data and analyzes Fujian Province's manufacturing horizontally and longitudinally and it highlights Fujian manufacturing's current situation. By comparing to the manufacturing development of other provinces in the Southeast of China, this thesis finds out the Fujian manufacturing's advantages and disadvantages, and it also puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for enhancing Fujian's manufacturing competiveness.
