Research On High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industry Competitiveness Evaluation In Fujian

High-end Equipment Manufacturing, one of the seven major development directions of strategic emerging industry in China, lies the high-end link of equipment manufacturing industry chains, in favor of the transformation of manufacturing industry in China and realization Created in China. Its characteristics are known as high technology, high investment, high information density and having significant strategic, not only conform to the trends that contain digitization, intelligentialize, highly integration in today’s manufacturing, but will provide a more efficient engine for social harmonious development with its leading forces. With the support of our government, businesses in this industry has mastered a number of advanced technologies via the upgrading of the traditional technologies, introduction-absorption-recreation of new technologies and independent innovation, promoting the comprehensive competitiveness of this industry sustained and rapid development. However, high-end equipment manufacturing, an emerging industry, is undefined, such as where the competitiveness level of it stands in terms of the whole country or a region, and what measures should we take to improve the industry projects. The related research literatures on the issues are scarce, especially about the regional competitiveness evaluation studies of high-end equipment manufacturing industry. Therefore, we selected high-end equipment manufacturing industry of Fujian province as the research object in this study, and comprehensively evaluate competitiveness of the industry. On the one hand, this research will provide a solid theoretical foundation for the customization and implementation of industrial development policies. On the other hand, it will promote the in-depth study of the equipment manufacturing industry and strategic emerging industry.On the basis of related literatures and theories, first of all, it reviews relevant literatures on high-end equipment manufacturing industry competitiveness, and expounds the situation of high-end equipment manufacturing industry in Fujian province in order to clear about the present condition of the industry in this province. Secondly, it teases the fundamental theories of industry competitiveness and the connotation of the high-end equipment manufacturing industry, clear about the connotation of the theory and industry, define the concept of high-end equipment manufacturing industry, and construct the analysis framework of the Fujian high-end equipment manufacturing industry competitiveness evaluation, connecting with the situation of Fujian province. Based on the discussion above, evaluation index system that serves for the high-end equipment manufacturing industry in Fujian industrial competitiveness is built, then, factor analysis tools is selected as the main tool of empirical analysis. After that, it employs the factor analysis method to take the empirical analysis on index data by using SPSS 18.0 statistical analysis software. The results showed that, compared with other eastern provinces, comprehensive level low-ranking of the industry competitiveness of Fujian province, it is necessary to strengthen development experience exchanges with other provinces, and publish the government supporting policies to promote the fast development of industry.
