Research On Evaluation Of Coordinated Development Degree Of Land Use

With the rapid development of economy and continuously deep land use, mankind has created unprecedented material wealth. But at the same time, excessive consumption of resources, environmental pollution and ecological damage problems have become increasingly prominent, and environment comes to have a harm effect on the development of economy, which attracts people's attention. So how to coordinate the development between the society-economy and eco-environment, reduce the destruction of eco-environment in the development of economy is an eternal theme of human development. Under this background, it has a great importance in theory and actuality to research on coordination between society-economy and eco-environment in land use.Firstly, this paper expounds systematically the theoretical foundation of coordination and development of land use, and produces the concept of regional land-use coordinated development degree in light of the concept of coordination degree and other related concepts. Then the paper divides the influencing factors about coordination of land use into three aspects: adverse factors, favorable factors and uncertain factors. An estimate system apposite to the research of land-use coordinated development degree is built based on the two subsystems of the level of society-economy development and the quality of eco-environment. It also gives a concrete measurement on the coordinated development degree of the two subsystems with the model of evaluation. Based on estimating system and the model of evaluation, the paper takes Jiangsu Province as a case study: In the time dimension, the study analyses the historical evolution process and stage of development of land-use coordinated development degree in Jiangsu Province and its three sub-regions from 1996 to 2006, and then forecasts the value trends by grey system model; In the space dimension, the study divides Jiangsu Province into three sub-regions which are Sunan,Suzhong and Subei as study units, and analyses the spatial differences of the coordinated development degree in the three sub-regions. The result of this research indicates that: The type of coordinated development degree of land use has evolved from disorders into coordinated development class both in Jiangsu Province and its three sub-regions from 1996 to 2006, and the trends will get better in the future; The three sub-regions have prominently different in land-use model, Sunan and Suzhong belong to environment lagged, and Subei belongs to society-economy lagged; There are many influencing factors which can embarrass the development of land-use coordination in Jiangsu Province, and the factors in three sub-regions are different because of their different land-use models. Finally based on analyzing the advantage and disadvantage of land-use coordinated development degree in Jiangsu Province and its three sub-regions, the proposals have been put forward on the aspects of environmental pollution control, eco-environment protection, setting up suitable land use models friendly to environment and planning as a whole for regional land use. Those proposals try to change development approach of economy and the model of land use to promote the sustainable development of land use in Jiangsu Province.
