Study On The Coordination Between Quality Control And Cost Control

The key issue of project management is effective control and achieving project objectives. The aim of the project control mainly reflected in three aspects: quality, period and cost, in which quality is the most important. However, in the actual operation of the project,so many people put project quality control on a subordinate position, and focus more attention on the coordination between period control and cost control. On the basis of system literature review, considering coordination as the main theory line, and along the ideological line of coordination cause (why coordinate) --- coordination mechanism (which aspects) --- coordinated approach (how coordinate) ---coordination case (coordination application), the paper comprehensively analyzes the coordination between quality control and cost control.At first, the paper analyzes the relationship of unity and opposites between quality control and cost control, which provides an opportunity for the balance and coordination of these two aspects. Secondly, the paper details the coordination mechanism from four dimensions: management, technology, conduct, and culture. And even points that the project control should be made to the overall project management coordination. Thirdly, on the basis of analyzing and comparing the SQ of quality control and the SC of cost control, the paper proposes the coordination method, which is SQ and SC analysis. The combination of standard research and empirical research, and the practice certification with theoretical analysis are the most characteristics of this paper. At last, the paper conducts an empirical research on the theory specific application, which provides a reliable support and quantitative data for the coordination of project control, and achieves good economic and social benefits.Theoretical analysis and empirical studies show, it exists unity and opposites relationship between quality control and cost control. Active, effective and comprehensive coordination between these two aspects can save project cost and enhance the project quality. And even more, the coordination can show a benign cycle and interaction between them.
