With the establishment of market economy of China, it accelerates the germ of the investment industry, which was the essential product of the productivity development. As deepening the reforms of state investment and financing system and coming forth investment companies, it encourages the investment industry to come into being.Moreover, with the arrival of the era of knowledge-driven economy, knowledge has already become the contemporary most key factor of production, and human is the base of knowledge. The Investment Type Enterprises are the combo of intelligence and capital and the human resource is the main source of its running capability. So, the competition between the enterprises has been evolved as the competition of human resources finally. Performance management is exactly the kernel part of the human resource management. It is the important reference indicator of enterprise's personnel decision. It is the base of salary decision making and encouragement. Besides, it can also influence the realization of enterprise's strategic target. The existing research about performance management mainly aims at manufacturing industry. However, what's the character of investment enterprises'performance management, and how to establish it, seems very important.The thesis involves the theories of investment, project management theory, and performance management, and methodology of combination of theoretical research and case study, quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, and based on reference investigated, it includes the following aspects:First of all, analyzing the character of investment enterprises and the problems in performance management in these enterprises, this is the base of the study. Then, studying the performance management of investment enterprises, raising the general and individual performance evaluation frame based on balancing scores cards, establishing relative index system and evaluation model based on hierarchy analysis. Moreover, studying the performance management on project manager of investment enterprises, analyzing the character of performance management on them, establishing the evaluation model and method based on MBO(Management By Object) and 360 Grading Evaluation. In the last section of the paper, a case of an enterprises is given to explain the application of theory on performance management that is expounded there. Accordingly it made the paper have the practical significance to some extent.
