In an increasingly competitive global market environment, how to better meet customer demand for greater market share and reduce costs in order to get a good operating profit is an important problem for the business. With the internal and external business environment changes and the resulting fundamental innovation of the competitive rules, Lean Production technology and efficient supply chain management have become an important source of competitive advantage in the business. The effective integration of lean production and supply chain management is becoming the key to build the advantage of sustainable strategies of the business.Traditional lean production only paid attention to inside enterprises and has neglected the important function of outside enterprises in supply chains. The present market has changed the competition among enterprises to the competition among supply chains. To respond the customer's needs, the fast lean thinking must be expanded to the whole supply chain. To realize the lean management from materials procurement to manufacturing to marketing, every nodal enterprise should take customer's demand as the direction and cooperate together. The supplier, manufacturer, retail and customer should cooperate and share the interests commonly to realize the whole benefit of the supply chain optimally.In the angle of manufacturers implementing the lean production, this thesis studied the problem of implementation of Kanban management in supply chains combining the lean thinking and supply chain thinking, built a lean supply chain regarding manufacturers as key enterprises by the use of logistics simulation software.This thesis studied the lean production theory and supply chain theory at first. On this basis, it studied supply chain system theory based on the Kanban management. At last, it applied software Witness to simulate a real Kanban supply chain system based on the discrete system simulation. According to the running and optimization of the model simulation, it analyzed the effects of variables on the systems, and determined the configuration to maximize the efficiency of the entire supply chain. The optimization results of the model provides basis for decision makers to make better decisions.
