| With the development of world economy, along with the speedup of market economy course in china, basal industry of china, especially steel industry, are facing more and more consuming competition. The illogicalities between intrinsic enterprise system and market economy rules have come into appearance. Cold rolling industry, as the fresh industry, suffers from sever influence and puzzle from inner and outer circumstance. Not resolving difficulty, untill the cold roll corporation would have created themselves competitive advantages and fostered themselves Core competence.As there's not much study on the core competence of cold roll industry at home and abroad, it is difficult to estimate and foster the core competence of the cold roll corporation in china. To improve such complexion, the thesis uses theories and practical studies around the world on core competence for reference. Besides, relying on my abundant experience plentiful market research, I put forward the current situation as well as the advantages and disadvantages of cold roll industry, and finally conclude synthetical appraise system on core competence of cold roll industry. Under the cases analysed, the thesis finds reasons to the lack of core competence of cold roll industry in China and summarizes solutions.This thesis consist of seven chapters.
