Abstract/Summary:
China is in a critical period of national economic and social development. Numbers of deep-seated contradictions exposed as the economic grows sustaining and rapidly, as industrialization and urbanization process has accelerated, especially for the rapid development in the heavy industry and the transport, energy demand has grown but the supply is not enough, the lack of energy Bottleneck is very prominent. Energy management is of great significance to sustainable development of an enterprise, but also a strong guarantee of economic, social and ecological sustainable development. Energy-efficient management of state-owned enterprises, many experts and scholars have done a lot of work and achieved some success, but in practice there are still a lot of problems, such as the efficiency of management, management of targeted, and so on, these issues need to be further depth study.The research for the industrial enterprises aims at probing into the relationship between energy management and competence of Chinese enterprises, which is based on enterprise evolvement theory. In theory research section, the study introduces research achievement in environment management related fields and analyzes deficiency of existed research. Then it defines enterprise competence and its structure factors, and conceives theory model which is based on enterprise evolvement theory. In empirical research section, the study selects industrial enterprises in Shandong province and Northeast areas as sample data of questionnaire survey. Then it reaches a conclusion of the relationship between energy management and competence structure factors for industrial enterprises. In addition, the study discusses the relationship between enterprise performance and research variables further. Empirical results reveal: (1) Positive correlation between the resource of the firm and the performance of the firm, the attitude, the behavior of energy-saving management. (2) Positive correlation between the resource of the firm and the energy-saving management. (3) Positive correlation between the attitude and the behavior of energy-saving management. (4)The relations research between the market structure and the performance of the firm, the attitude, the behavior of energy-saving management does not achieve statistical requirements. Finally, discuss the results of this research and make prospects, attend to provide energy-saving ideas and research methods for future research. The value of the research is to use evolutionary theory of the firm to develop the theoretical model to analyze the relationship between energy-saving management and competitiveness of the firm and it also uses the normative quantitative method to investigate energy-saving management of the firm, which can reveal the currently existing problem and give a theoretical and practical guidance to the Chinese firm.
