After entering the 21 st century, at the same time of rapid economic development, the recurring malfeasance of enterprise managers and leaders gradually reduce the employee’trust and perception of affiliation to the organization. As the vital force of the enterprise,employee is the strong guarantee of enterprise in the intensified business competition and volatile economy environment. In addition, as the root characteristic of other leadership styles, authentic leadership has a positive influence on employees and the organization.Thus, sharing with the concern about leaders’ moral values and organizational stability,scholars take a widely attention to authentic leadership in academia and modern enterprise management. Many scholars believe that the positive characteristics of authentic leadership has significant positive effect on the mental attitude of subordinates, which can enhance the satisfaction of subordinates, raise employees’ trust and commitment to the organization, retain the talent for the enterprise more easily.To study the mechanism of authentic leadership influencing leadership effectiveness,based on the mediating effect of leader-member exchange quality and the moderating effect of subordinate’s perception of power distance, this paper builds a structural equation model which contains a mediating variable and a regression equation model that contains a moderating variable. First of all, according to the research achievements of domestic and overseas scholars, this study reexamines the influence authentic leadership effects on leadership effectiveness and the mediating role of leader-member exchange quality in the influence. Secondly, we take more attention to the key research, which means the moderating effect of subordinate’s perception of power distance between authentic leadership and the leadership effectiveness. Thirdly, in order to further analyze the moderating effect of subordinate’s perception of power distance, we divide the study samples into two groups based on the different leader-member exchange quality, and then examines the moderating effect in two groups respectively. Finally, we test the structural equation model and hierarchical regression model by empirical analysis, inspect whether the results support the hypothesis, and then we discuss the research results, elaborate thecause of the results, and give the relevant management advice.
