With the relationship between the Mainland and Taiwan gets more and more clear, many companies of Taiwan are enabled to invest and set up factories in the Mainland and the Mainland of China has become one of economic sources of China Taiwan. However, since the Taiwan-funded enterprises think they have same culture and same race as the Mainland, they transplant the "management behaviors" from Taiwan and do not realize that there is cultural conflict in the human resources management. So, the cultural conflict has become one major problem for the Taiwan-funded enterprises in Mainland. With reference of the conflict management theory, the cultural conflict in the human resources management in the Taiwan-funded enterprises in the Mainland and the management behaviors are more deeply studied in this paper with the method of literature analysis and case research and with combination of interview and field investigation. Firstly, the conflict theory is discussed and the concept of conflict, concept of culture, concept of cultural conflict, the definition of human resources management and the generally adopted research method in this paper are defined and more detailed overview on the Taiwan-funded enterprises in the Mainland are elaborated. Secondly, the evolvement and reason of the differences in historical culture and economy between the Mainland and Taiwan are discussed in this paper through the management phenomenon proceeding from describing the expression forms of cultural conflict in the human resources management system. On this basis, the basic principles and thoughts of the cultural conflict management in the human resources management in the Taiwan-funded enterprises in the Mainland and corresponding countermeasures and measures of cultural conflict management are brought forward. Thirdly, the case analysis is carried out for Cooler Master, one Taiwan-funded enterprise in Huizhou with a purpose of letting the Taiwan-funded enterprises in the Mainland know about the cultural conflict in human resources management and corresponding countermeasures are provided for this. |
