With the development of tourism industry, tourism talents are in great demand. The number of tourism undergraduates and postgraduates is increasing rapidly. Thus the employment situation of graduates majoring in tourism becomes more and more serious. The structural disequilibrium of supply and demand in tourism graduates is an important factor that influences graduates employment .This paper tries to discuss the contradiction supply and demand on the basis of Labor Supply and Demand Theory, Human Capital Theory and Labor Market Segmentation Theory.The paper is made up of 6 parts. Part 1 is preface, which has a brief introduction of the related researches of graduates employment and tourism graduates employment. In part 2 the author reviews and concludes foundation theories that can explain the problem of graduates employment. Part 3 makes an analysis of the talents demand of tourism industry, including demand departments, structure and characteristics. Taking Beijing International Studies University as an example, Part 4 does an investigation of self-recognition, tourism major recognition, career anchor, employment expectation and influencing factors of tourism graduates. Based on above-mentioned theories, this paper analyzes the number and structure, education cost and revenue, talented person's movement and information restriction in part5. In the last part the author draws three conclusions and gives five suggestions.
