Research On The Quality Of The Peasants In Jilin Province In The Process Of Construction Of Socialist New Countryside

A generous agriculture with rich peasants in stable countryside secures a strong economy, a rich country and a safe society. Building a new socialist countryside is the inevitable requirement for the full implementation of the scientific development view and the construction of a harmonious society. It is also the key task of comprehensively building a well-off society and the important measure for speeding up the socialism modernization process. For Jilin Province which is a big agricultural province, it is of unusual significance. As a big agricultural province, the annual grain output and contribution rate of Jilin are very high, but the rural economic development is slow. The basic reason lies in the quality of the peasants. Since the founding of the PRC, especially since the adoption of the reform and opening policy, the peasants'quality in Jilin has been greatly improved. However, affected by various factors such as historical, cultural, institutional and economic factors, their scientific and technological quality, moral quality and health quality are still not very high and the quality of civilization needs to be improved. It is one of the most urgent tasks of Jilin Province to train the new-type farmers with literacy, farming technique and management and to give play to subject dynamic role to the utmost. We should learn the advanced experience at home and abroad to improve the peasants'quality according to the actual situation of Jilin Province.Using the method of comparative analysis, qualitative and quantitative analysis, document analysis and social survey, the author carried out the questionnaires in 500 farmers'families of 8 representative counties in Jilin. Based on the data, the author puts forward the concrete measures for improving the peasants'quality by analyzing the factors that affect the improvement of peasants'quality in Jilin and the related problems. The measures are as follows:we should attach great importance to the peasants'quality of education, science, technology and culture and to the peasants'education, increase investment , constantly improve rural education system and improve the extension and service system of agricultural technology.We also should put more emphasis on the improvement of peasants'moral quality. In the ideological and moral education in rural areas, we should continuously enrich the content, innovate the approaches, integrate theory with practice and train a high-quality team of the ideological and political work.We should improve the peasants'health quality from the aspects of system, environment and farmers. Under the direction of the core value of socialism, the building of rural culture should be strengthened and peasants'quality of civilization should be improved, which would lay a solid foundation for the construction of new socialist countryside.
