| By seizing the opportunity of the transfer of world electronics and information industry and exploiting the labor comparative advantage, China's electronics and information industry has become the pillar industry in national economy, and the electronics and information products has ranked No.1 in the export of China. Therefore, a comprehensive, systematic and thorough analysis of and research on the export competitiveness of China's electronics and information products and its key factors can help us to have an accurate understanding of export competitiveness of China's largest export products, and provide us with the strategies and policies on the promotion of the export competitiveness of China's electronics and information products.This paper comprises five sections. Section 1 is Introduction. It introduces the background and the meaning of the research, methods and definitions, in which the paper differentiate the export competitiveness from the international competitiveness so as to avoid the confusion situation of the two definitions. Section 2 summarizes the theoretical researches of the competitiveness origin, explains the traditional trade theory,new trade theory and competitive advantage theory from the point of export competitiveness. Section 3 analyses the basic characteristics of the development of export trade and the status of export competitiveness of China's electronics and information products. It concludes that the general export competitiveness is increasing year by year, but the main products which have competitiveness are low added-value electronics and information products. Section 4 explores the main problems exiting in the export structure of China's electronics and information products and the key factors which influence the export competitiveness of our country's electronics and information products, they are: foreign direct investment, technology innovation and technological trade barrier. Finally, based on the above research, this paper puts forward some suggestions on optimizing the export trade structure and promoting the export competitiveness of our country's electronics and information products. |
