In the time of market full of fierce competition, selecting talents is being put on much importance. As one of the methods of assessing, selecting and training of administration personnel especially senior officials, the assessment center is playing a more significant role in the human resource management in all enterprises and institutions. To study systematically on the application pattern of the assessment center can not only enrich the personel psychology theories, complete contemporary talent assessment theories, but also provide important design and operating references to the great majority of professional assessors. Thus, the study has high practical values.The present dissertation is based on the assessment technique of our assessment center used in talent selection and assessment for three institutions during the past three years. Selecting Leaderless Group Disscussion and In-basket Test as our reasearch objects, we developed some related experimental research. The results indicate:1. Both of the Leaderless Group Disscussion and In-basket Test are reliable and valid assessing techniques.2. The assessing factors of Assessment Center can be established in this way: assessing factors can be put into two categories, one category reflects cognitive ability and another reflects emotional ability. At the same time, we should select cross-sectional and general ability as assessing factors. Specific behaviors should be considered less.3. It is very important of understanding assessing factors for assessors, thus we should provide more traing chances for assessors ensure all assessors are accordant in the essence of assessing factors.4. This paper gives some advice on composing topics when we develop certain assessment center techniques.
