The flow is a process of creating value for customers and an interrelated activity. The purpose of optimizing the flow is to upgrade the managerial level by rethinking and redesigning the flow itself and by improving the cost, the quality, the service and the efficiency of an enterprise. The optimization should place focus on its customers, put emphasis on its process and take advantage of information technology to realize the flattening of organizational structure. And the main connotation of BPR is to take the business flow as the center, free from the division theory of traditional organization, advocate customer-oriented principle, become flexible in the aspect of administration and apply the information technology properly, so that we can adapt the ever-changing situations. The author introduces the origin, development, features and application of the business flow optimization; then make a thorough research into the theory and application of BPR; lastly, the author ponders on the prospects in the field of brush manufacturing in Lanxi City and its business flow with a combination of its features and actual situations.This article mainly elaborates the motivating factors and the goal of the business flow optimization; stating the concept of BPR, the goal, the approach; analyzing the application status quo and the developing prospects of BPR; It emphatically analyzes management present situation for Lanxi brush, the main business flow, the some experience for other enterprises. It takes the example of Lanxi brush business flow, discussing the application practice of BPR on purchase business in Lanxi Yongxian Co. Ltd , on producing business in Lanxi Duntou Co. Ltd .
