Study On The Restructuring Of State-Owned Hotels In Jiangxi Province

This paper analyses state-owned hotel industry in Jiangxi and Ganjiang Hotel from the state-owned reform perspective. State-owned hotels occupy the majority of total hotels, but the economic benefits are not optimistic. So it is imperative for state-owned hotels to reform and state-owned property rights will eventually withdraw. However, it is inevitable that the process of reform has many problems as for the identity of the staff changes, the relationship between the various stakeholders changes, placement and distribution, the old routine of the system of state-owned enterprises has posed a challenge. Based on the reform of Ganjiang Hotel, this paper aims at summing up its reforming process, measures and experience in order to provide strategic and operational guidance for other state-owned hotel in Jiangxi Province, and as a practical reference, contribute to the development for hotel industry in Jiangxi Province. The reform of Ganjiang Hotel is different from other state-owned hotels. Hotel is not in danger when the reforms raise, just because of leaders' consciousness of urgency and forward-looking. It is taking the road of gradual reform, its reforms do not touch the property rights, and establish a strong team of leadership. Besides, the personnel system, labor system, distribution system and management system have reformed. But the reform is short-term and does not solve the fundamental problems. This will constraint its future development. So Ganjiang Hotel should recognize inadequacy of the reform objectively when summing up the successful experience and find the way out for the future and development strategy. On the background of reforms in Ganjiang Hotel, this paper adopts the approach of theory and positivism coordination to analyze the macro-path of the reforms based on data collection and analysis and provide a means to other state-owned hotels under the market economy conditions.
