The telecom industry of China is faced with the profound changes. The adjustment of the industrial structure and the trend for the merging industries can not be held back. As a leading telecom enterprise developed from the traditional economic system, it is an important problem for people to make research into the solutions to grasping the present and the future market, making full use of the existing net resources and new technology to meet the demand for various customers and the business at various levels, correctly diagnosing and solving the internal problems so as to promote the information and make more contributions to the development of society. In this thesis, the author analyses the internal and external environment and the competitive situation of a traditional state-run telecom operation enterprise, and closely combines the current situation and the internal and external environment for market competition of Baotou Netcom and probes into the methods and strategies for applying the modern marketing theories to the operation and development of the enterprise of Baotou Netcom.
