In this paper, suburban county economy connotations, characteristics and advantages in areas such as relatively clear, comprehensive exposition, drawing in regional economics, economic geography and sustainable development theory in the regional economic development of the results of research, analysis Suburban Counties affected the key to sustainable development, on the outskirts of a city-county basic meaning of sustainable economic development.2. According to the results and draws the following conclusions: (1)The economy of Luquan city has changed into the weak level of sustainable development from unsustainable development and the capacity to predict the future sustainable development will be increasingly strengthened. the economy of Luquan City has just entered the weak level of sustainable development, but it stays in the lower level and there is still a long way to go to get the real achievement of sustainable development.(2)Superior location factors play a tremendous role in the sustainable economic development of Luquan City, The land, water resources, environmental issues constraining role strengthened,residents of low income levels, social consumer demand is not high; the low quality of the population, a shortage of high-quality human resources are the bottleneck for the sustainable economic development of Luquan.3. According to the above conclusions, the paper presents that in order to realize the sustainable development of Luquan City, the government should build an environmentally friendly society with the combinations of resources and develop Luquan City into the West Garden by way of adjusting industrial structure, developing a recycling economy, developing greater intensity of opening up as well as speeding up scientific and technological innovation.
