Research On Quatative Analysis Method Of Economic Contribution By Coastal Port

Based on the industry transfer of the world and the industry structure adaptation of our country, considering the development of port and offshore industry, the paper analyses the unique locality superiority of offshore industry in the course of accepting international industry transfer from the points of productivity layout, economic effect, and industry gathering and so on. As the ideal locality for international transfer, offshore industry makes the backward industry gather around it and promotes the second concentration of productivity. Accordingly, the concentration of economic activity drives the population, technology and culture concentration, thereby higher requirement is needed for the service industry in the near district, which promotes the construction of port and facility nearby. The realization of offshore industry, logistics and commerce industry developing in harmony pulls the overall economic development of the near districts; the new Port City which depends on the port will emerge in the end.Becanse offshore industry has unique superiority when it accepts international industry transfer, so the economic contribution of port not only comes from traditional port service, modern logistics industry, the customer and port construction, but also from the other industries induced by port direct industry and industrial centralioze effect. Learning from the successful experience of developing offshore industry and the economic evaluation method home and abroad, makes use of the port intergrowth industry to reflect the economic contribution by its induced industry, and the intergrowth industrial customer to reflect the economic contribution of the industrial gathering. The input-output model has more advantages than others in the aspect of analyzing the port's economic contribution. Take the case of the Shanghai Port, its economic contribution, sensitivity and influence coefficient matrixes are computed. The conclusion is that the port's induced function takes more than half the economic contribution. It implies that the port makes great effect on the regional economic development, but it hasn't played its fully part on the regional economic. Finally, some suggestions about the development prospects of Shanghai Port are proposed.
