In the past decade, many manufacturers spent plenty of money and resources to implement ERP in order to enforce management and process control, promote productivity. After the ERP went alive and practice for a while, the manufacturers recognized there is a big gap between the ERP and operations. ERP means complicated materials orders, work flows and unnecessary data. ERP system becomes encumbrance for the manufacturers. Complicated process and insisted on MRP is root cause of the problem. The purpose of Lean Manufacturing is to promote efficiency ,eliminate wastes, synchronize production and customer demands. Some of enterprises who invest on ERP is pursuing to connect Lean manufacturing with ERP, so that they can balance strengthening control with promoting productivity, decreasing wastes.Combine the theory and practice in this paper, and introduce feasibility of combination of lean theory and ERP, expatiate the process design with lean theory, and how to immerge Lean theories into production process and supply chain management (including value stream, pull theory, Kanban management and continuous improvement), furthermore provide detailed solutions in D company. After analyze the effectivity of ERP implementation quantificationally, and prove they can run smoothly in parallel. At last, bring forward the target of continuous improvement in ERP.
