The Study Of Supplier Selection Of Manufacturing Enterprise Under Supply Chain Environment

Firms within a supply chain can achieve sustainable competitive advantages through developing much closer relationships with all companies, and they can significantly reduce time and costs depending on the appropriate management of the supply chain, while serving customer needs at the same time. Manufacturing firms, which face a competitive environment, should seriously consider win–win strategies, as customers'needs vary over time and technology changes rapidly. Manufacturers must focus on development and maintenace of strategic business partners in the production process and recognize the significance of a supply chain and supply chain management (SCM), in order to actively cope with such environmental changes. This kind of change and focus made the SCM to be hot within researchers.Supplier selection problem is one of the most important decisions in the SCM. This paper first gives a relevant literature review, and then presents the importance, affecting factors and the general process of vender selection. The main works of this research are as follows:(1) Proposed a comprehensive and configurable metrics system for supplier selection. It is based on the evaluation system of SCOR model, and takes into account product type, supplier type and company/supplier collaborate level. Interpretive structural modeling is used for extracting relational structure of a set of metrics. It could be an effective reference tool for decision maker, assist to configure the selection metrics as per the organization's goals and requirements;(2) Established a hybrid method, incorporating SOM-cluster method and DEA model with AHP restriction. The hybrid method use SOM for clustering analysis, it is objective and the decision maker could choose right supplier types accord to actual conditions. And then, for the suppliers of chose types, we make a further evaluation using DEA model with AHP restriction. The applying process of the hybrid method is demonstrated in the case-study. For the complexity of calculations of SOM and DEA model, this paper gives the related original programs of MATLAB, so the users only need to input related dates when application.
