Research On Supplier Management In Supply Chain

Today, with the aggravation of the market competition and transition of production mode, the competition between enterprises has shifted to the one between supply chains. As one key element of supply chain, the importance of supplier is outstanding day by day, and supplier management has become the vital weight of supply chain strategy.This paper illustrates the elementary concept and theories of supply chain management, and analyzes deeply supplier management under supply chain environment, to emphasize the necessity of the cooperation relationship between enterprise and her suppliers. The paper mainly focuses the discussion on the construction of supplier management system. First, it presents the models for the selection and evaluation of suppliers, and discusses the concrete implementation procedures. Then, it studies on the supplier relationship management and some strategies of supplier management in supply chain are put forward. At last, the paper gives a verification study with Shanghai Kinergy Mechatronics Co., Ltd. as an example, and provides proposals for improvement in light of its current practice and existing problems.The innovation of the paper is the construction of a practical supplier management system model based on supply chain management and supplier management practice. In the supplier selection decision, it applies an original approach, which is the combination of Date Envelopment Analysis with Analytic Hierarchy Process, to select and evaluate supplier in order to overcome each shortcomings. The study fruit of this paper may be used for the studies and practice of supplier management.
