Study On The Environmental Awareness In Eco-tourism

Ever since human beings waked up to consider the importance of ecological environment and the necessary of the coordination of man and nature, they considered the natural survival crisis in the process of society development. They considered the progenies' demands for the nicer environment while meeting contemporary people's requirement about economy and culture. Then, people's environmental awareness was aroused. At the same time, the eco-tourism spouted. For its starting late, following the rapid development of the eco-tourism during the 90's of last century, the none-ecological behaviors were discovered gradually. What the basic reason for this situation is that the environmental awareness of people engaged in eco-tourism is weak.Awareness changes people's thinking mode which will guide their behavioral mode. This dissertation investigates how to improve these people's low level environmental awareness. Firstly, this dissertation defined the conception of the eco-tourism and the environmental awareness, then, analyzed the internal relationship between them. Environmental awareness instructs people's behavior in the process of tour. This conclusion provided theoretical basis to promote the sustainable development of eco-tourism. Secondly, on the basis of analyzing the internal relationship between eco-tourism and environmental awareness and consulting large members of relative literature, this paper summarizes some scientific and representative index to evaluate present situation of environmental awareness. Then, the situation was discovered by questionnaire, interview and observation. Finally, the paper came to the conclusion that the environmental awareness of the member of eco-tourism is awaiting to improve, and discussed the major way of its improvements.
