The Study On Shared-Ride Taxi Problems

As the expedite proceeding of urbanizing and the complement of urban public transport system, taxi industry, which is one of the most important supplement in whole transport system, have been rapidly developed in recent years. Taxi travels on the road to get the passenger, which is the main picture of taxi industry, along with the feature of non-sharing ridership, result in the low actual carrying rate and"empty taxi", meanwhile, increase the urban congestion and environment pollution, especially in peak hours, it is hard to make taxi as an efficient way to travel. Therefore, the significant problem of urban taxi industry in our country is how to improve the occupancy rate of urban road, achieve the high efficiency of transit and reduce the pressure to both the urban transport and environment, in order to convenient the traveling of resident.In this thesis, transport revenue, car sharing mode, fare rate of car sharing and car sharing management are the four problems have been studied. The efficiency of taxi transit is the rate which equals the labor input divided by the labor output; this is also the rate of efficient outcome divided by the element input. In this thesis, the data envelopment analysis is been used as the method to get the result of low transport efficiency by analyzing the taxi-related input and output, furthermore, get the ways to improve the transport efficiency by comparing the finding- passenger cost during peak hours and non-peak hours. In terms of shared-ride taxi mode, according to the explanation of concepts, the possibility of domestic shared-ride taxi scheme is analyzed, and the obstacle which get from the management, passenger, employee analysis, is result from the analysis based on the prosperity of shared-ride taxi and the experience of implementing this scheme. In terms of fare rate of shared-ride taxi, establishes the minimum fare rate model which based on the shortest journey length, to benefit both the practitioners and the passenger, in additional, the problem of apportion the shared-ride taxi fare rate is solved by demonstrating some examples with the LINGO software; in terms of management policy, study which focus on the newish operation method, is analyzed from the management mode, operation mode and configuration infrastructure and devices in this thesis, furthermore, propose the method of how to implementing the shared-ride taxi scheme in China.At present, there are few studies and management methods about shared-ride taxi in the mainland of China. In this thesis, taxi industry operation methods are enriched and the taxi pricing theory is completed, the final objective is to promote shared-ride taxi and advise the administration department to make corresponding adjustment about the new operation mode, this is meaningful for the perfection and development of urban public transport system.
