Theory And Empirical Analysis Of Enterprise Growth Under The Background Of Industry Convergence

With the development of technical innovation, industry convergence is becoming an important phenomenon in industry development. To some extent, industry convergence is a new type industry revolution which is based on the development and convergence of science and technology, and it will lead to profound changes of social and economic system. These changes will inevitably alter the outside social and economical environment of enterprise operation, and then further influence the enterprise in many ways, such as enterprise growth pattern, direction, development strategy and the organization form, etc. The research about industry convergence phenomenon and enterprise growth theory under the background of industry convergence will be of important significance to the improvement of enterprise operation efficiency and advancement of the industrial structure optimization and adjustment.This paper first begins with the historical evolution of industrial convergence and explains the concept and connotation of industrial convergence by using typical cases of industrial convergence, then explores the driving system and the process of industrial convergence, based on the industry boundary model and research achievements of prior scholars on the driving factors of industrial convergence. Besides, this paper further discusses the effects industrial convergence may bring about to the interior and external enterprise environment.For research enterprise growth under the background of industrial convergence, this text has a preliminary study on the force mechanism, the restrictions, the growth speed and the border of firm growth, and on these basis, analyzes the respective effects that industrial convergence has on those above aspects. Also, this paper predicts the tendency of enterprise development model, enterprise strategy and enterprise organization. At last, the author takes"the convergence development of traditional newspaper industry digitization"and"Korea SK telecommunication 3G business development"as the typical example to give empirical analysis on enterprise growth theory under the background of industry convergence.
