Risk assessment is one of important modern management methods, which could appraise the risk and its influence to the goal, and decision maker could put forward corresponding measures. This paper reviews the correlative research about the risk evaluation and summarizes the research situation at home and abroad. Influencing factors of newly constructed unit project investment risk evaluation about power plant in China are analyzed. The system of evaluating indexes of newly constructed unit project investment risk evaluation about power plant is established scientifically. Analytical hierarchy process is used to determine the weight of the indexes. Multilevel matter-element analysis model is introduced into the newly constructed unit project investment risk evaluation about power plant, which provides a new way for the newly constructed unit project investment risk evaluation about power plant. An example is used to validate the feasibility and veracity of the evaluation method.
