Study On Warehouse Space Efficiency Planning Method

There are many different warehouses in the logistics network. They are performing their own duties to store, protect and process the goods. With the development of economy, the modern warehouses have to take more responsibility. They have to store more goods in the limited space and process more deals in the limited time. Sometimes warehouses have to provide supplementary services.According to the investment of China Logistics and Purchase Union, we have a low warehouse performance rate. Too many stored goods which will not be used in the near future worse the current crowed warehouse.With the increase of land price, it is vital to improve the warehouse performance. It is also practically useful to enhance the flexibility of warehouse process.This paper focused on the improvement of warehouse performance and studied methods on warehouse space layout and goods location management. The upper space of the warehouse could be used by high shelves and stacks. Warehouse layout of the alleys will also utilize the space efficiently.Improve warehouse efficiency through time means to enhance the processing speed. With the development of modern economy, speed is an important factor in any industry. Optimize the warehouse environment could provide high-speed process.The improvement of warehouse performance has to consider the factors from space and time and combine those factors. Then it could improve both ways.2.Warehouse storage area layoutThis part studied the following content.(1)The warehouse layout was made according to the processing procedures. The processing procedures include inbound, store and outbound generally. There are U style, straight fluent style and modular style in process layout.(2)Warehouse storage strategy has different effect on the space and process efficiency. There are random storage, dedicated storage and class-based storage. Random storage strategy uses the warehouse space most efficiently. But it will cause trouble in the process. Dedicated storage strategy is easy to manage the goods but takes a lot of space.(3)Warehouse alley layout is very important for the space and process.3.Warehouse storage area goods location optimization.This part includes the following content.(1)Division targeted management.The storage area is generally divided into two divisions.
